Statement of Community Involvement
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how and when the Council will involve the community and other interested people and organisations ('stakeholders') in the preparation of its planning policy documents, and also in the consideration of planning applications in Woking. The SCI was adopted by the Council on 10 February 2022.
Local Planning Authorities are required to review their SCIs every five years - this latest version has been reviewed and amended to reflect changes in national planning policy, to reflect up-to-date information, and to take account of representations arising from the consultation period in Autumn 2021. The Consultation Statement outlines the consultation process undertaken before the document was adopted, and the Officers' responses to representations received.
