Woking Borough Council

Proposals map

It is a statutory requirement to prepare a Proposals Map which should:

  • Identify areas of protection, including the Green Belt

  • Allocate sites for particular land uses and development proposals included in any adopted Development Plan Document and set out the areas to which specific policies apply.

The Council has published a new Proposals Map alongside the Core Strategy Pubication Document. It has been agreed with the Environment Agency that the Proposals Map should not include areas at risk of flooding. This information is contained in the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment and any future advice and/or new information that will be provided by the Environment Agency. This approach is necessary to enable the flood risk data to be updated when required. Users should contact both Woking Borough Council and the Environment Agency to confirm the most up to date information.
